About The Role

Working Hours: You will required to work 140 hours monthly, which will consist of a 2 weekly shift pattern of: Week 1, 50 hours (Mon Tues, Friday Sat, Sun) and Week 2: 20 hours (Wed & Thurs)

This is a role for a Full time Night Residential Child Care Worker to work within a 6 bedded residential children's home. We are looking for people who believe they have the qualities and skills needed to support our children to maintain stability. You will need to be emotionally and physically fit to work with young people aged 11 - 17 who are emotionally challenging and have complex needs i.e vulnerable, missing from home, drugs, gangs, physical, verbal aggression, Child Criminal/Sexual Exploitation. You will need to be able to establish and maintain relationships with the young people to challenge their existing patterns of behaviour. You will create a culture and ethos within the home in which the needs of the young people are paramount, and they are encouraged to develop, mature and grow. In addition, you will work proactively with other professionals across multi agencies and with parents to assess the young people’s needs and ensure positive outcomes. Good standard of verbal and written communication and ICT. 
The team works proactively in maintaining a high level of care for the young people. The team are consistent in their approach whilst working together in order to provide the best possible care to the young people they work with. Willow Vue have high aspirations for the young people who live in the home.
Full driving licence is preferred and have 12 months experience of working with children, young people, and families. The service is committed to the on-going personal development of the staff to meet the needs of the young people.

About the Candidate

Desirable

  • Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent is desirable.
  • Experience and training in safeguarding.
  • An innovative and creative approaches to problem solving.
  • Whilst experience working in the care sector is preferable, we will consider individuals who are new to the sector. A full training & induction programme will be followed to ensure you feel fully prepare to undertake your duties.
  • A willingness to work as a team and deliver exceptional care and outcomes to those we support.
