About The Role

Working Hours: 35 Hours Per Week

This Role is Subject to:
  • Casual Car Documentation- The successful candidate will be a designated Casual Car User which means that car journeys may be necessary on an occasional basis, but are not essential to the role. If you do drive, you must always hold a full valid driving licence and provide your own car for use at work, as well as provide all the appropriate documentation. You will receive an allowance per mile of business use.
  • BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) clearance - this post is subject to BPSS checks. You will therefore be required to consent to and comply with BPSS checking requirements prior to commencing in this post. This check involves verification of identity; nationality and immigration status; employment history (past 3 years) and basic criminal record check. 
  • DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance - this post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (amended in 2013). Appointable candidates will be required to apply for an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Information provided by you or the DBS will be dealt with in a confidential manner and in accordance with the DBS Code of Practice which can be viewed here. We have a policy on the Employment of Ex-Offenders and it is available upon request.

We are excited to be recruiting to our Contract’s Officers post within the Adults directorate to assist us in delivering the organisations’ mission of improving health and care outcomes for the people of Manchester.

This exciting opportunity will focus on leading a particular service area within adult social care, working with Social workers, citizens, voluntary sector organisations and care providers in delivering the best care and outcomes for our citizens.

Along with supporting our front line services, you can expect professional development and new experiences to support future career progression.

This role is 35hrs per week, Monday to Friday working on a flexible basis as well as hybrid working arrangements. The postholder also has the opportunity to work in heart of the city centre.  There is plenty of opportunity for training and development in drafting, negotiating and managing contracts as well as being the focal point for a large portfolio of services supporting some of our most vulnerable people in society.
