This role is subject to -

  • 2 References - where possible we require 3 years' employment history.
  • Casual Car Documentation- The successful candidate will be a designated Casual Car User which means that car journeys may be necessary on an occasional basis, but are not essential to the role. If you do drive, you must always hold a full valid driving licence and provide your own car for use at work, as well as provide all the appropriate documentation. You will receive an allowance per mile of business use
  • DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance - this post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (amended in 2013). Appointable candidates will be required to apply for a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Information provided by you or the DBS will be dealt with in a confidential manner and in accordance with the DBS Code of Practice which can be viewed here. We will provide both on and off the job training. You will part of a supportive management team delivering excellent Business Support to Children's Services
 
What do Business Support Leads do?
Working as part of the Business Support Management team
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that Business Support resources are effectively deployed ensuring good practice across the teams.
  • You will be managing and supporting the team through changes, you will ensure the best performance of the teams you manage includes undertaking investigations as required.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of multiple financial processes ensuring all procedures are followed and in line with Financial Regulations.
  • You will have a lead for your teams  and be responsible for the consistent and professional delivery of services.
  • Day to day you will be responsible for the performance management of staff performance in your teams and liaising with the services your team support to ensure the best possible delivery.

About the Candidate

We are looking for a candidate who;
  • Can demonstrate strong management skills
  • Can demonstrate logical thinking
  • Understands good financial management
  • Is confident to problem solve, plan and organise to achieve resolution
You will need to have:
  • Excellent management skills
  •  Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent personal resilience
  • Good Negotiation Skills
  • Demonstrable management skills meaning you have managed multiple teams previously
The role will be based at two sites and you will work at both through the week. These are the Etrop Court Office in Wythenshawe and the Beehive in Crumpsall.
