At Holy Trinity CE Primary School, we take immense pride in the quality of our lunchtime provision and the high standards maintained by our dedicated catering team. Due to a vacancy, we are seeking to appoint a Catering Assistant to join our busy kitchen team.

As a busy kitchen, we need someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can stay focused under pressure while maintaining excellent standards of service. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Cook and the wider team to prepare, serve, and deliver high-quality meals to the children in our school.

Our ideal candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to forge positive relationships with both children and colleagues. You will be a team player with good customer care skills and able to promote a professional image at all times.
Ideally, you will hold a certificate in food hygiene, but training will be provided for suitable candidates. A full uniform and training will also be provided, and an enhanced DBS check will be required (arranged by the school).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the dining area for service, including setting up and putting away furniture
  • Assist in the preparation, cooking, and serving of food and beverages
  • Clean all equipment and catering areas to a high standard 
  

About the Candidate

  • Ability to work under pressure and use your initiative
  • Strong customer care skills
  • Previous catering and food preparation experience is desirable (but not essential)
