As social workers we work toward helping others to identify their individual strengths, enabling and empowering the people we work with to grow, utilise support networks and regain control of their own lives. We recognise the wider issues that can impact on a person and strive toward making a more equal and just society, ensuring human rights are upheld and legislative frameworks are used to protect our most vulnerable residents.

To do just this, Manchester City Council Adult Social Care department has a range of social work teams across the city who undertake key functions of referral, assessment, support planning, review and safeguarding but within different contexts. Opportunities can be found within our:

Integrated Neighbourhood Teams – who work toward identifying areas of need, building on individual strengths and community assets, and providing necessary intervention and support to adults living within our local communities.
