The Student Service Coordinator supports students’ academic and personal success through responsive and helpful service to students, colleagues and parents, alongside running the organisation of a number of in school and after school events.

About the Candidate

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU:

      A science background with laboratory experience as a science technician;

      NVQ L2 or 3 qualification in relevant discipline, eg NVQ Laboratory & Associated Technical Activities or L2 In Laboratory Technical Skills, or equivalent;

      Good numeracy and literacy skills, at least equivalent to RQF Level 2, with excellent IT skills; 

      Good communication, written and interpersonal skills are vital for this role; 

      Confidence to prepare chemicals and safely set up a range of science experiments; 

      Knowledge of safe working practices, Health & Safety legislation & COSHH, CLEAPSS & ESCC regulations; 

      Well organised and professional with a flexible and positive approach to all aspects and areas of your work;

      Ability to work independently, responding to tight deadlines, prioritising work whilst collaborating with colleagues to achieve goals and complete projects within timescales;

      Supportive of the school's excellent staff attendance and punctuality record.
