The governors of the Federation of St Marys RC Primary School and St Cuthberts RC Primary School wish to appoint a new kitchen assistant,.

We currently have a vacancy from September 2025 for an enthusiastic and efficient catering assistant based at St Marys RC Primary School.

The role involves general catering duties including basic food preparation, serving of meals and all aspects of cleaning as directed by the cook supervisor.

The successful candidate will be a member of a small catering team and will need to have an eye for excellence in delivery standards and service reputation at all times.

Previous experience is preferred although full training will be given. The successful candidates will be passionate about creating a welcoming environment through supporting the catering team with school meals. Key elements for any candidate are excellent attendance and reliability.

About the Candidate

We are looking to recruit a dedicated, reliable and friendly person to this role who can work well in a small team and who enjoys working in a school environment with young children.
