We currently have an exciting opportunity for a SEND and Adaptive Provision Teacher to join our fantastic team at MEA Central
Core Purpose:
To lead high-quality teaching, targeted intervention and flexible, needs-led provision for students with complex SEND , significant SEMH needs, extended absence, or who require structured reintegration back into mainstream lessons.
Also students with barriers to learning, and a range of vulnerabilities.
This is a permanent position on Teaching Terms MPS-UPS.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide adaptive teaching across core curriculum areas
- Lead small-group and one-to-one provision, combining timetabled support with responsive, high-need intervention
- Stabilise and support learners in crisis or dysregulation
- Deliver short-term respite teaching that maintains academic continuity
- Oversee return-to-lesson plans and reintegration pathways
- Support severely absent students with catch-up, confidence building and re-engagement
- Work collaboratively with SEND, pastoral and safeguarding teams to ensure safe, consistent provision
- Track progress, attendance and engagement precisely
- Model trauma-informed, relational practice
