Salary: £32,916 (M1) - £51,048 (UP3) per annum plus TLR2b (£5,870) and SEN1 (£2,787)
Initially based at Mersey Valley Learning Centre, Chorlton although all employees can be asked to work at any site across the school at the discretion of the Headteacher.
The Governors of Manchester Secondary Pupil Referral Unit are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, resilient, dedicated teacher to join our school in September 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.
The role of Curriculum Lead Maths is unique. You will support the delivery of our ambitious curriculum at one of our Learning Centres, in partnership with the Centre’s Student Services Manager.
You will:
- Model high quality first teaching of at least one key subject (Maths) to students at your Learning Centre
- Provide pastoral support to students at your Centre
- Quality assure delivery of the whole curriculum across your Centre, using a variety of monitoring and evaluation activities throughout the year
- Work alongside MSPRU’s SEND department to identify barriers to students’ learning and to plan appropriate interventions to ensure that all of your students achieve to their fullest potential
