We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of Performing Arts (Drama and Music) to join our fantastic team at MEA Central

This is a permanent, full time role starting September 2026. The salary for this post is MPS/UPS on the Teachers Pay Scale.


About the role:

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, creative and committed Teacher of Performing Arts (Drama & Music) to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons in both Drama and Music.

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in Drama and Music that motivate and challenge students
  • Foster a love of the performing arts and encourage participation in extracurricular activities
  • Contribute to school productions, performances and events
  • Support the continued development of the Performing Arts curriculum
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive department and wider school team

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a qualified teacher with a specialism in Performing Arts (Drama and Music)
  • Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for practical, hands‑on learning
  • Deliver consistently high‑quality teaching that inspires and motivates students
  • Have high expectations of students’ progress, achievement and behaviour
  • Be committed to inclusive practice and raising outcomes for all learners
  • Work effectively as part of a collaborative and supportive team
