We are reshaping our service to ensure a strong, socially informed approach is at the heart of mental health decision-making, with AMHPs leading innovative work across the system. This includes our A&E AMHP/VCSFE pilot, strengthening the social care response within urgent and emergency care, alongside high-quality Section 13 Mental Health Act training and embedding Solution Focused Practice across the workforce.

We are a forward-thinking, values-driven service, committed to strengths-based, trauma-informed and relational practice, and to improving outcomes for people experiencing crisis.

These opportunities are open to Social Workers, Mental Health Nurses and Occupational Therapists who are AMHP qualified or interested in developing into the role.

Shaping a 24/7 AMHP Model - This is an exciting opportunity to be part of designing a more responsive, 24/7 AMHP service. These roles will support a model that spans traditional daytime and out-of-hours delivery.

We are committed to working with appointed candidates to agree working patterns that balance service need and wellbeing. This is likely to include a combination of long days, late shifts and twilight hours, with flexibility built into the role.

This role forms part of a service moving towards 24/7 delivery and is therefore likely to attract additional payments aligned to flexible and shift-based working patterns, subject to Council policy. Working location is Hexagon Tower, Blackley, Manchester (not Town Hall).
