Are you a passionate and experienced Social Worker looking to make a real difference in the lives of foster carers and children?

We are seeking a dedicated Supervising Social Worker to join our fostering team, providing high-quality support, guidance and supervision to our established foster carers.

As a Supervising Social Worker, you will be responsible for supporting a caseload of approved foster carers, helping them to provide safe, nurturing and therapeutic homes for children and young people.

This role is focused on the ongoing support and development of foster carers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide regular supervision and support to foster carers.
  • Develop positive working relationships with foster families and professionals.
  • Identify training and development needs and support carers in their professional growth.
  • Participate in foster carer reviews and annual review processes.
  • Offer guidance and support during placements and periods of challenge.
  • Contribute to placement stability and positive outcomes for children and young people.
  • Participate in multi-agency meetings

About the Candidate

You will:

  • Hold a recognised Social Work qualification.
  • Be registered with Social Work England.
  • Have experience working within fostering services or children's social care.
  • Demonstrate excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Be committed to supporting foster carers to provide high-quality care for children.
  • Have a sound understanding of fostering regulations, standards and safeguarding practice.
