We have two Building Control teams.

Lead one of them.

From skyscrapers to stadia redevelopment and wholesale District Centre regeneration, Manchester is the growth hub of the North. Our Building Control Service is central in supporting this delivery, and when you lead one of our high calibre teams, you’ll be at the heart of it all.  Our growth agenda has a national profile. Join us, and you’ll deliver key outcomes for the city —development which is essential to providing new homes and jobs that are safe, inclusive, responds to climate change and is of the highest quality.

We’ll look to you to support the Building Control Manager in the strategic development and performance of the section, and in implementing initiatives both within the service and at corporate level. In particular, you’ll focus on the financial and operational performance of the Building Control team.

Operating at regional and national level, you’ll engage in joint initiatives to improve standards in relation to buildings, building work and public safety, and to develop the partnerships we need to maintain the high standards of service delivery demanded by our Charter Mark status.

In return, you’ll have every opportunity to develop your career thanks to our national agenda, and can look forward to rewards - please view here: Why work for us - Manchester City Council (eploy.net)

Why Manchester…

We are home to the UK’s largest indoor arena, its second largest international airport, major sporting venues, great public transport options, and is right in the heart of the nation’s motorway network.
