Working Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 08:15-15:45
Number of Positions: 1
Qualifications Required: Good numeracy and literacy skills, at least equivalent to RQF Level 2
Salary: Pro rata annual salary of £23,604
Start Date: January 2025

This is a great opportunity to come and work in our highly rated secondary school in central Manchester.

We're looking for a suitably qualified or experienced person to undertake the classroom supervision of students throughout the school on a daily basis in the absence of teaching staff and to assist, as required, with duties, invigilation and in-class support.

About the Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience and an understanding of safeguarding and child protection issues, or be willing to undertake training in these areas
Has numeracy and literacy skills at least equivalent to RQF Level 2; good ICT skills are also desirable;
Has experience of working in an educational setting and have effective behaviour management skills;
Can be professional, flexible and innovative, with experience of undertaking a wide variety of duties and an ability to deal skilfully with unanticipated situations;
Has the ability to work under pressure and remain calm;
Has good communication skills with the ability to work well within a team, yet able to demonstrate an ability to work unsupervised utilising their own initiative;
Is well organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks, often with short deadlines and ensuring accuracy;
Is supportive of the school's excellent staff attendance and punctuality record, which in turn supports student attainment.
