The successful candidate will help operate the learning support unit under the supervision of senior leaders.
They will greet, help regulate and settle children each morning, interact with children on the playground and be on call to support children when needed. They will work with families and promote good attendance.
They will also work within classes and support colleagues to follow the Relational Approach to behaviour management.
This post would suit someone who can quickly build a rapport with and relate to young people and understand the challenges that they face. A background in youthwork, social care or within education would be an advantage but candidates with no experience, but with the skills and willingness to learn should consider this post.
The successful candidate would build on the good work of the previous postholder and improve and embed the routines and structures of the learning support unit, working with staff to ensure it operates effectively.

Having recently undergone a successful Ofsted inspection, the right candidate will be prepared to help us to continue our journey to make the curriculum more meaningful and better for both the staff and pupils and provide ALL children with the best quality care.
