Office Administrator at Rack House Primary School:

The Governing Body at Rack House Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic, highly organised, and motivated Office Administrator to support our excellent team of staff in delivering exceptional learning experiences for our pupils.
 
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the smooth running of our school! As the Office Administrator, you will work alongside a supportive and talented team, where your organisational skills and positive attitude will make a real impact.
 
This temporary, part-time position offers the chance to work
20 hours a week, Monday to Friday, during term-time with 5 INSET days – giving you the perfect work-life 
 

About the Candidate

We are looking for:

The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves being organised, and
takes pride in supporting the wider school community.

Essential Skills and Experience:
 
  • Proven experience in an administrative role, ideally within a school environment, with proficiency in Microsoft applications (especially Excel).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable attitude.
  • Excellent organisational skills, time management, and reliability.
  • High expectations for yourself and others, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills to support a variety of administrative tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks efficiently and proactively.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
 
  • Experience using a school MIS system, preferably Arbor (training can be provided).
  • Knowledge of school-specific processes and practices.
  • A positive and flexible attitude to change and new challenges.
  • An understanding of the school environment and a passion for supporting the education sector.
