About The Role

Salary: £25,585 - £27269 per annum
 
 
 

St Wilfrid’s C.E. Primary School is a happy, friendly school with a strong family ethos and strong team commitment to improving the outcomes and aspirations of all our children. 

We are seeking to appoint a compassionate and patient Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team, to support pupils with a range of SEN needs.

You should be child-centred in your approach and be able to demonstrate initiative, a willingness to be flexible and the ability to adapt calmly to ever changing situations.

You should have previous experience working with children with SEN needs including ASD. 

Although this position is are currently fixed term until August 2026, there is a possibility that this may be extended further if funding is made available.

About the Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of working with children in an educational setting who have complex individual SEN needs in a Teaching Assistant capacity or equivalent.
  • Is a positive and flexible, team player who wants to make a difference
  • Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills and is willing to share best practice with others and be directed by others.
  • Is highly organised and motivated.
  • Will play an active role in the classroom setting.
  • Can demonstrate the vision and values of the school in everyday work and practice.
  • Has an understanding of how young children learn and how to get the best out of children.
  • Is positive and able to persevere.
  • Can remain calm under pressure.
