We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our friendly and hardworking kitchen team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vital part of school life – providing healthy, high-quality meals that support our children’s learning and development.

As a key member of our team, you will help ensure that lunchtime is a positive, enjoyable experience for all of our pupils.

About the Candidate

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and clear the dining area, including moving and arranging furniture
  • Assist with the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals and beverages
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and dining areas
  • Support the cook in charge and collaborate with the catering team

What We’re Looking For:

  • A positive team player with excellent communication skills
  • Someone who can build good relationships with both children and colleagues
  • Good customer care and a professional attitude
  • The ability to work well under pressure and show initiative
  • Previous catering or food prep experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Food hygiene certification (training can be provided)
