Crumpsall Lane and Crab Lane are a Federation of two large primary schools with over 400 pupils aged from 3-11 in each school.

 We are looking for an experienced EYFS TA2 to join our team at Crumpsall Lane initially.  The post is permanent. 

 We are looking for candidates with excellent teamwork and communication skills with a passion for working with children in an urban context. Successful candidates will be well supported.

About the Candidate

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced practitioners in creating a nurturing, stimulating and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.

The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting young children’s learning and development, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff and families.

They will play a key role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning through purposeful play, helping children to develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering a high-quality Early Years curriculum that promotes children's learning, development and wellbeing.
  • Foster a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment where all children feel valued and secure.
  • Engage children in purposeful play and learning activities, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Support the development of children's communication and language skills through high-quality interactions.
  • Promote children's personal, social and emotional development, encouraging independence, resilience and positive relationships.
  • Observe children's learning and development, contributing to assessments and learning records as directed by the class teacher.
  • Encourage children's curiosity, creativity and exploration through child-initiated and adult-led activities.
  • Help maintain an engaging, stimulating and well-organised learning environment
  • Support children with additional needs, ensuring they can access learning and participate fully in school life.
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers, contributing to effective home-school communication.
  • Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and participate in training and professional development opportunities.
