As an Occupational Therapist (Level 2, Grade 8) within the Early Intervention Occupational Therapy Team, you'll provide functional assessments and targeted occupational therapy interventions using a strengths-based, restorative approach.

You'll help Manchester residents maintain, regain and maximise their independence by identifying barriers to everyday activities and supporting people to build on their existing strengths and capabilities. In this role you will:

  • Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions that promote participation in daily activities, wellbeing and quality of life.
  • Identify factors affecting occupational performance, including fatigue, breathlessness, reduced confidence and risk of falls.
  • Work with health and social care colleagues, council services, voluntary and community organisations, carers and partner agencies.
  • Support early intervention, prevention and service development activities.
  • Work closely with Social Worker staff within the Adult Early Support Team.
