Manchester City Council is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Estates Surveyor to join their Corporate Estates/ Corporate Landlord team. This pivotal role will involve managing all aspects of General Practice Estates work, alongside strategic asset management and other related estate functions and is focused on the management of the Council's Operational property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the management and maintenance of the Council's property portfolio.
  • Input and implement strategic asset management plans.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage lease agreements, licences, easements and service charges.
  • Collaborate with various departments to align estate management with the Council's strategic objectives.
  • Provide expert advice on property-related matters to senior management.

About the Candidate

About You:
  • Proven experience in estate management, preferably within a local authority or public sector environment.
  • Strong knowledge of property law, health and safety regulations, and strategic asset management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
