Director of Mathematics – Lead, Inspire and Make a Lasting Impact

We are seeking an outstanding and ambitious Director of Mathematics to lead a successful and well‑established faculty at Parrs Wood High School.

This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for driving high standards of teaching, learning and achievement across Key Stages 3 to 5, including a thriving A Level provision.

The post holder will provide strategic leadership for curriculum design, assessment, and quality assurance, while line‑managing and developing a diverse team of teachers and support staff.

As a key leader within the school, you will also contribute to whole‑school improvement, using data intelligently to maximise progress and close attainment gaps for all learners.

About the Candidate

You will:

Be a highly effective classroom practitioner with a passion for Mathematics and a proven track record of raising achievement. With strong leadership skills.
You will inspire colleagues through collaboration, high expectations and a commitment to evidence‑based practice.
You will have experience of curriculum development and assessment, excellent organisational and analytical skills, and the ability to motivate both students and staff.

Above all, you will share our values of excellence, care and respect, and be driven to make a meaningful difference to young people within a diverse and inclusive school community.
